American made ‘MK IV Series 80’ single-action semi-automatic 1911 pattern pistol chambered in .45 ACP manufactured in Hartford, CT. According to the authentication letter, this pistol was shipped August 8, 1986. It features a satin blued finish with polished flats, 5" barrel, GI type sights, serrated curved trigger, two-tone GI hammer with serrated spur, firing pin safety, frame mounted GI thumb safety on the left side, smooth GI grip safety, serrated arched mainspring housing, smooth front strap, serrated push button magazine release, and factory 8 round magazine. The checkered hardwood grips have inlayed gold toned colt medallions. Pistol retains approximately 98% of its original finish showing superficial scratches, with most on the front strap. The action is smooth and crisp. The bore is dirty, but it appears bright with strong rifling. The wood grips are excellent. Includes the original factory blue plastic hard case with manual, authentication letter, and one total magazine.
